Loneliness is a significant social problem in New Zealand and it has only worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Older people, especially men, are particularly at risk and studies have revealed that loneliness and isolation can lead to a reduction in lifespan by up to 15 percent. 

But one lifestyle village in Auckland is combating that problem with a whiskey group. It involves older men, good whiskey, and plenty of laughter.
