In a recent article, Aucklanders revealed how many friends they have and whether they feel lonely. ‘Two men said they had no friends at all. The Conversation asks, ‘Is there a natural trade-off between quantity and quality when it comes to the friends in your circle?’
Their findings show that it’s not that simple. ‘Our research suggested that a desire for intimacy with friends wasn’t specific to wanting only close relationships with a few friends. It was associated, however, with more concern about loneliness.’ Read the full article in The Conversation.
